PHD – Economic analyses of decision support tools for early detection of UGI cancer
We are currently working on a systematic review of health economic methodologies in the detection of upper gastrointestinal cancers.
This study aims to systematically review health economic and modelling methodologies for assessing healthcare pathways in detecting UGI cancers, with an emphasis on strategies relevant to primary care, from early presentation in healthcare settings through diagnostic and management stages to long-term outcomes. Key objectives include identifying and critically appraising relevant studies and developing a taxonomy of the methods used.
